On Friday 16th October 2015, Geoff Feddersen from Progressive Training participated as an Industry Judge for the World Skills Electrical Trades Regional Competition held at Durack Institute of Technology.
The competition was a high pressure situation with competitors only being given a limited amount of time to complete a project that included the installation of 3 x Final Sub Circuits (Power, Lights & DOL Motor/Pump) via the use of several wiring systems including Steel Conduit, PVC Conduit, Corrugated Conduit, 50mm x 50mm Duct, 16mm x 25mm Duct as per provided plans. All wiring, connections and enclosures including a 11 Pole load centre as the Distribution Board were to be installed to set dimension tolerances while meeting AS/NZS and Local Compliance. We recently said farewell to Valentina Strazzera who finished up with Progressive Training on the 2nd of December 2015 and will soon be relocating to Melbourne. On her last day we held a small morning tea that included Val’s favourite chocolate, strawberry cake and multiple laughs! Val commenced with Progressive Training in May 2014 in the role of Client Services/Training Resources Co-coordinator. In her time at Progressive Training Val completed her Diploma of Management and made many valuable contributions to the team. Val was always a pleasure to work with and be around and no matter the situation she could always find the positive side. Val always managed to make you smile. She will be missed. All at Progressive Training wish Val well on her adventures to Victoria and good luck with all she may do in the future. There have been some recent staff changes at Progressive Training and with great pleasure I introduce Jason Driscoll, Lead Trainer/Facilitator and Valentina Strazzera, Client Services & Training Resources Coordinator who have both joined the team. They both have their own stories to tell..................
On Linda Chalwell’s last day here at Progressive Training (WA) Pty Ltd as our Client Services Officer, she ordered a chocolate cake covered with Maltesers as she loves cake! It is with sadness that we have had to say goodbye to one of our team members and friend, as she started back in February of 2012 as an Administration Trainee. As part of her Traineeship, Linda completed her Certificate III in Business. It was most likely her lovely voice you would have heard on the phone when you called us. |
