I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to everyone at Progressive Training , their current clients and prospective clients. My name is Terry May , I am a Work Safe registered trainer/assessor in the following High Risk Work Licence classes – CV, CN, CO ,DG,RB,RI, RA,LF &WP, I also conduct Working at Heights , Confined Space Entry and Authorised Gas Tester as well as Verification of Competency of all High Risk Work , Heavy Vehicle and Plant including Dozer, Grader, Excavator ,Skid Steer and IT.
I have 25+ years experience as a Rigger and Crane Operator working in construction on LNG Projects Rankin A , Goodwin A, Train 5, Pluto, Darwin LNG, as well as Worsley Alumina initial construction, Burrup Fertilizer , I also have worked offshore in the installation and commissioning of LNG Platforms and on a pipe laying vessel in the Bass strait ( Blackback and Kingfisher Subsea Hookup ).
My training experience has been varied , I worked as a Contract Trainer at FMG ‘s Cloudbreak and Christmas Creek Mine sites for 3 years under a MOU with Progressive Training, Rio Tinto’s Namuldi Below Water Treatment Plant with Crushing Services International , most recently I have just finished working 2.5years on the Ichthys Inpex LNG Project with UGL /Kentz Mec1 Package in Darwin, in between I have worked around WA as a contract Trainer for various RTOs.

I have recently conducted Training for Progressive Training with Rio Tinto’s Dampier Salt in Port Hedland and Carnarvon at the Lake Macleod Mine , Port Hedland had just received a new Service Truck with a Palfinger Vehicle Loading Crane and their Service Crew required the High Risk Work licence class CV to operate their new Crane , the guys were very professional in their approach to the course and in their adherence to site procedures which made my task so much easier and everyone was very helpful in ensuring I had all the resources required to conduct the training.
At Lake Macleod, Dampier salt required personnel to complete Work Safely at Heights , Elevated Work Platform, Vehicle Loading Crane and some of the crew also required Working at Heights Permit Issuer Training (site specific). Once again everyone was very helpful and professional in their approach to the courses , ensuring that all the courses ran smoothly and they all provided valuable input throughout the courses and making sure I had all the resources and amenities at my disposal, with all that said I would like to thank everyone at Dampier Salt Port Hedland & Lake Macleod , Shelby ,Jason and Geoff at Progressive Training for their assistance.
