The Council of Australian Governments (COAG) is the peak intergovernmental forum in Australia.
The members of COAG are the Prime Minister, State and Territory Premiers and Chief Ministers and the President of the Australian Local Government Association. Raising productivity is a key focus of COAG’s agenda, and education and training are critical to increasing the productivity of individual workers and the economy.
As agreed by COAG in December 2013 there is to be a transition to new Ministerial Council arrangements. Therefore, it has been decided that the NSSC will not meet as planned and take further decisions until after Ministers have met through the new COAG Council for Industry and Skills in early April 2014 and agreed on future national arrangements.
Training Packages lodged for endorsement will be considered at the first opportunity after the Ministers have met and arrangements finalised. For further information please refer to:

Staff Changes
Goodbye to Josh – we say a fond farewell to Josh Phillips as he leaves Progressive Training to join the WA Fire Service. It has been a pleasure having Josh as part of our team and we wish him all the very best for the training course ahead and his new career. Our loss is certainly a gain for the Fire Service!
We warmly welcome Jason Driscoll who will join us as Trainer/Facilitator as from the end of March. Jason is an experienced trainer and brings to the business a valuable new dimension. Watch this space for an update!
