As there are package and version changes occurring regularly, the Scope and Training Operations Department is constantly kept busy checking, updating and modifying. It will always be a continuous circle of improvement.
Towards the end of this year and early in the New Year, it is likely there will be some big changes to some of the packages we have on Scope. Just three of these packages that will be affected are:
• TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
• RII09 Resource & Infrastructure, and
• BSB07 Business
These changes will be quite significant and will require a great deal of time, energy and patience to implement. So, be aware, they are coming!

Within the last issue of Newsline, we brought to your attention the important date of the 1st of July, 2013. This being the deadline set by the National Skills Standards Council (NSSC) requiring trainers and assessors, who want to remain qualified and continue to deliver Nationally Recognised Training, to upgrade their qualification to the new ‘TAE40110’.
Since then, we have had many requests to upgrade Trainers/Assessors from their older qualification to the new TAE40110. There has been so much interest in this, one of our Senior Consultants/TAE expert and photographer extraordinaire, Bill Belson, has taken on the role of managing the upgrade process - and doing an excellent job in the process!
If you head to the new and improved Progressive Training (WA) Pty Ltd website you will find some of Bill’s fabulous photos. Josh has done an impressive job on the new site which is very user friendly and full of great information. Another great addition to the site is the Partner Log In. If you are a current partner of Progressive Training (WA) Pty Ltd you will have access to the latest version of resources/assessment tools, etc. available on our system directly accessible by you whenever you require them. All you need is your password and away you go. We will be contacting our Partners directly to ensure you have all of the information you need on how to access this. Go and check it out!
Stacey has been very busy updating the resources and assessment tools of the Cert I, II and III in Business, as well as developing PowerPoint presentations for a few of the RII units such as Excavator, Telescopic Handler and Working at Heights. This has been an arduous task and she can usually be heard madly tapping away at her keyboard. We are sure she must have worn out at least two keyboards!

Part of this is the monitoring of trainees and apprentices. Please take the time to communicate with Sue when she contacts you if you are a trainee, apprentice or supervisor, as she is your point of contact if you need help in any way.
