The aim of the Site Supervisor's Course is to provide participants with the introductory skills and knowledge as part of the requirements under the Mines Act for an individual taking on the role of a supervisor.
This course was originally developed for the mining sector but also meets the requirements for an individual taking on the role of trade or operations supervisor in a variety of industry settings.

On 16 December 2015, Mr Lex McCulloch the WorkSafe Western Australia Commissioner announced the Department of Commerce – WorkSafe Division (WorkSafe) would be undertaking a review of the model Work Health and Safety (WHS) Regulations for adoption in Western Australia.

I mentioned in the December 2015 issue of Newsline there had been several Training Package changes throughout the year which affected the Resources and Infrastructure and Business industries. Just recently we also received notification that the Glass and Glazing and the Training and Education Training Packages have been upgraded. With 2016 well and truly in full swing, it is nice to take a moment to write a short article for Newsline to reflect on some of the achievements for 2015.
